AudioStreet.net, home to over 50,000 independent artists and over 500,000 registered members, will offer one of the web's most direct ways for artists to get coveted music industry exposure. Artists will climb the AudioStreet A&R Radar chart based on a combination of song plays, recommends and friends added to their AudioStreet.net profile. Fans will have the chance to campaign for their favorite acts and advance them on their way to superstardom.
The Indie music community has launched new breakthrough features for artist and fans last week. The AudioStreet "A&R Radar" chart will rank emerging unsigned musical artists and provide top charting artists with opportunities to be discovered by major recording labels.
Some of the benefits artists can get by reaching the top of the AudioStreet A&R Radar chart are: having their music covered by top A&R representatives in the industry; having a single distributed by a major label; performing live at showcases with label acts, and the ultimate opportunity of being signed to a recording contract.
In addition to the innovative A&R Radar chart, AudioStreet also introduced a new site design and embeddable branded flash music player. The AudioStreet player will tap directly into the site's library of over 70,000 original songs. AudioStreet.net and DJ sister site MixStreet.net recorded almost 10 million song plays in 2007.
"AudioStreet.net continues to establish itself as the home for independent music artists on the web," commented Ckrush, Inc. CEO Jeremy Dallow. "With the addition of A&R Radar we can now offer artists a direct path to exposure at the major label level, as determined by the fans."
