WaTunes is a music distribution service similar to Tunecore, enabling music artists and record labels to sell their music to over 100 music store services including iTunes, Napster, and eMusic. From now they'll provide their services based on a flat fee subscription service. WaTunes will provide artists and labels to sell unlimited songs, earn 100% of their royalties, and personally work with the artists and labels to maximize their sales earnings through their marketing services, for a flat $10 monthly fee.
"By introducing this new business model for our digital distribution services, we're able to put in a huge effort and go beyond a normal distribution method to establish a personal relationship with each artist and label to help them strive to reach their true sales and music potential." says Kevin Rivers, Founder and CEO of WaTunes.
"With this new service, we're able to provide bigger and better marketing resources to the artist and labels including radio play, magazine coverage, and possible store features. Our goal is to help build the artist brand to establish and attract a huge fan base for that particular artist." says Tony Pytleski, Chief Marketing Officer of WaTunes.
WaTunes is also a social networking service that enables music lovers to sign up for free and create their own profile, listen to music from the WaTunes catalog, comment on their favorite albums, and meet new friends.
This way WaTunes provides a music experience that enables fans to connect and stream unlimited music freely, rate/comment their favorite albums, and buy music directly from iTunes.
