WHAT ABOUT XYZMP3.COM?

Not so long ago a new 'music-front-store-service' called XYZMP3.COM made it's entry in the market. Shortly after their launch we experienced some difficulties in reaching their site. So we contacted XYZMP3's CTO Jess Garcia with some questions.

Just after launch you had some difficulties with accessibility the site. What happened?
We experienced an extraordinary amount of hacker attempts from outside the United States. Because our customers' security is our top priority, we decided to block all international IP addresses until we could put more rigorous security measures in place.

It seems the kind of thing you do is hot! how do you expect to stand out compared to services such as provided by SNOCAP and VICTORYRECORDS?
Our credit card processor/MP3 player software package is free for everyone to use and will be enhanced frequently during the next year to offer additional services for the musicians and labels we support. One of the enhancements we are currently developing is a musicians' resource area on our website that is designed to support musicians in their journey through the business of music. Topics that we cover are the hows and whys of the music business, roadmaps to getting signed, and a how-to guide as well as a resource center for touring and radio promotion. Combine our on-line music industry tools with our free online MP3 storefront/player and musicians have a complete support network to assist journey through the jungle called the music industry. Our storefront is free to use and we pay the musicians approximately 20% more per sale than Snocap. We are the digital download system for everyone!
