Dessous Recordings compiles a collection of sun-kissed tracks from the imprint's digital and physical back catalogue.

Label head Steve Bug teams up with US producer Viktor Font aka Mr. V to deliver a funky house track The Long Run. UK producers Jamie Anderson and Owain K submit two cuts: Keep It Pumping is sweaty, deep house. And Do You Know is a piano house track with a spoken word teaching a lesson in jazz history and its icons. A different lesson, that of love, is taught by Mz Sunday Love. She appears on the Chicago jacker Real Love produced by Echonomist.

On the deeper side of house, you’ll find tracks like Wait State by Langenberg. The dubby chords and infectious reggae twang give the track a nice analogue, late night touch. The compilation’s last track, Tangent by US producer duo Safeword, is a one for the dreamers. A combination of laidback beats and a melancholic melody round up the playlist perfectly.

A different kind of deep, Border Community style, comes from the epic track Vincent Price. Phonique really hits the jackpot with melodic, driving tech house. Another noteworthy track is Magic Keys by Parisian producer Andrade who contributes a bumping house tune with a flurry of melodies. And Tom Taylor offers a slice of NY house with abundant chords and FX.

Productions by Andre Lodemann (well produced tech house with attention for detail), Vincenzo (a slow burning and ultimately rewarding excursion) and Michai Popoviciu (funky, organ house) round up the collection in fine style.

Summer Grooves is a compilation which stays shy of difficult or leftfield house. It's an easy going bunch which sounds like the summer should be: laid back, warm and worry-free!
