Offered by Blogmusic, Deezer is a webservice offering free, unlimited and legal music-on-demand. The website, created in France in June 2006 by Daniel Marhely and Jonathan Benassaya, is translated in 16 languages and has now more than four million users.

Deezer has been elected, by the readers of 01Net, the most innovative website of 2007, outpacing Facebook and DailyMotion. Deezer is also one of the winners of the Red Herring 2008, rewarding the 100 most innovative European start-ups.

Thanks to a catalogue of 3.7 million titles and the access to 30 thematic webradios, Deezer members can listen to music and create their own playlists. Deezer’s 30 webradio stations, themed by genre (from Electro, Pop, Rock and Disco to Funk, Reggae, Rap and Film) and its smartradio service is now available for free in the UK, France and Germany on the Logitech family of Squeezebox network music players. Squeezebox owners can easily access Deezer’s multiple webradio channels and its smartradio offering or listen to their personal music collections no matter what room they are in.

Robin Selden (Logitech) said, "Logitech is pleased to be supporting Deezer, a leader in on-demand Web music services. The richness of their webradio offering further adds to the other music services we offer through our Squeezebox products in Europe, allowing music lovers to enjoy their music anywhere around the home, even when their computer is off."

Deezer’s founders, commented, "We are delighted to collaborate with market leader Logitech, and to be recognised in this way. Following the launch of Deezer’s application for iPhone and iPodTouch, this is another development in our service and strategy, which is to find Deezer everywhere. Deezer wants to provide its services through a maximum number of quality platforms, platforms just like Logitech’s Squeezebox."

Did they say iPhone? Did we miss something?
