Parlophone last week announced the digital release of George Harrison’s solo catalogue. Nine albums are initially being made available through all digital service providers and the remainder will follow online in the new year. The release of these albums means that all four Beatles’ solo catalogues are now available digitally.
The digitally released albums include "All Things Must Pass" (2001 remaster), George's first release following the break-up of The Beatles in 1970 as well as George's final album "Brainwashed" containing new material released one year after his passing in 2002.
Olivia Harrison about this: "It is exciting that George's catalogue is finally available for downloading. He had begun the digital remastering of his albums but had no idea how the digital world would change the way we access and listen to music."
George's bestsellling album "Living In The Material World", listing five weeks at #1 in the US album charts after its original release in 1973, was previously digitally availabe but is now also added to iTunes.
