Gotye has announced he will release a special remix album. The album will consists of 10 remixes of his worldwide chart-topping single 'Somebody That I Used to Know' featuring Kimbra.

The single of the Belgian-Australian musician and singer-songwriter hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is the best selling single of 2012 in various countries including The Netherlands and the UK.

There seems to be a good reason for Gotye to release the album. According to NME he said: "Sometimes I feel like I'm a bit sick of it. My inbox, on any given day, has at least five covers or parodies or remixes of it and there's only so many times you can listen to the one song.

"I like the fact that people are still discovering it and I don't feel like it's a noose around my neck. But at the same time, I do wonder how many times you can listen to the same piece of music.

"I can't think of any song that's ever been picked up like this and I do feel like saying to people sometimes, 'Come on guys, there are other songs out there'"

Gotye's remix album will feature remixes by Gang Colours, Bibio, M-Phaze, Faux Pas, 4Frnt, Tiesto, Sneaker Fox, Dan Aux, Miami Nights 1984 and Adrock and will be released as a digital download on June 8th, 2012.
