Jeff Mills doesn't really need much introduction. He is simply one of the biggest names in Techno, and maybe even Detroit's most successful producer ever. To see what he's been up to over the years just head over to Wikipedia or Discogs.
"As a DJ Mills has been credited for his exceptional turntable skills. Tracks are almost chopped to bits to showcase the strongest fragments for his relentless sound collages. Three decks, a Roland drum-machine and seventy records in one hour: At breakneck speed Mills manipulates beats and basslines, vinyl and frequencies."
But Jeff isn't just a wizard with sound. Working with visuals is another of his passions. His rescoring of "Metropolis", a silent science fiction movie released in 1927, being a landmark in the directions he likes to take.
Jeff is a busy man, and sort of hard to reach - so we're very happy he made some time to tell us some things we were curious about.
Read all about it next two pages.
