Patapon 2

PATAPON 2

With the sequel to the original PSP rhythm game, up to four players can bang out cool beats, guide their tribesmen, and work as a tribal team to create a musical carnival together!

Hot on the heels of the rhythmic smash-hit Patapon, Sony announced the forthcoming release of Patapon 2 last week. The original Patapon saw players playfully hitting the buttons of their PSP systems to beat their drum to lead their tiny tribesmen to victory.

The sequel, released in early 2009, is packed with new missions and features for Patapon fans – plus fantastic multiplayer modes and Game Sharing capabilities. Up to four players can bang out cool beats, guide their tribesmen, and work as a tribal team to create a musical carnival together – with just one copy of the game.

Patapon 2 is a delightful and musical experience that fuses rhythm, action and strategy in one unique and fun-filled game. The catchy rhythms and songs of the Patapon will have you humming along as you guide your tribesmen across the game’s brand-new stages. There are new characters to meet, new puzzles to solve and new secrets to uncover as you use your instincts of rhythm and song to guide your tiny tribesmen across a new and unexplored continent.

Your soldiers will respond to the rhythm of your drum, singing along as they collect magical eggs and battle against other tribes and bosses. There are 18 new songs to master, as well as variations on much-loved original Patapon rhythms like “Pata, Pata, Pata, Pon!” Players can customise their tribesmen with colours, masks, and accessories – making it easy to identify one another when playing in multiplayer mode. The “Hero Patapon”, who is new to the game, is the tribe’s brand-new leader. Bigger and stronger than the other Patapons, he can be grown, customised and named by you.
