THE SECRET WEAPONS OF SPENCER PARKER

Meet Spencer Parker - a Londoner with a good sense of humor and a sense for good music. He plays at some of the best clubs every weekend as a DJ, while his music productions, remixes and re-edits are being supported by such names as Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Ben Watt, Nic Fanciulli and Pete Tong.

His style is hard to pinpoint but that's exactly what Spencer Parker is all about and what makes him an interesting DJ/producer to follow. With releases on labels such as Radio Slave's Rekids, Ben Watt's Buzzin Fly and Satoshi Tomiie's SAW Recordings he's got taste for quality house music and knows where to find it. But Spencer delivers great music as well and he's not too shy to say what other labels he likes to release his music on in the future.

Spencer is also known to play secret weapons in his DJ sets.

Who is Spencer Parker? Tell us something about your musical background.

"Well, at school I was a massive Hip-hop fan and listened to acts like Gangstarr, Public Enemy, Brand Nubian and A Tribe Called Quest. As I grew up and started to go out to clubs I discovered House music and I would buy records to remind me of certain clubs and nights. Pretty soon, I had a few records and was asked to DJ at a friends 18th birthday party - and I've continued ever since!"
