Not so long ago we mentioned this library with all cool vocal samples from old movies. Liked it? Now we found a site called dailywav.com!
"Now in our 12th year of forcing my annoying hobby on you and your cubemates!"
A new vocal sample is added each and every day plucked from movies and TV shows. With an archive going back to 1999! You can browse them by year and by alphabet. There are tons of vocal clips to explore there. And each and every one is displayed with the actual spoken text typed out neatly (as the actual link to the wav file).
An annoying hobby? Whoever is behind this site knows how to pick his phrases. Three random picks:
1999 January 18 - "God isn't interested in technology. He knows nothing of the potential of the microchip or the silicon revolution. Look how he spends his time, 43 species of parrots. . .nipples for men." - [David Warner from Time Bandits]
2001 February 1 - "Wanna dance or would you rather just suck face?" - [Henry Fonda from On Golden Pond]
2004 May 6 – "The computer's full of hard-core. –That's why they call it a hard drive." – [Wil Johnson and Trevor Eve from Waking The Dead]
Okay, don't expect you can use these vocal samples in your music without breaking the law - but once you start exploring this site you'll be hooked.
