THE MUSIC LOUNGE: 3D VIRTUAL NIGHTCLUB

In "The Music Lounge" you can hang out, chat, dance, walk around, and listen to live DJ sets in a glamorous 3D environment.

Doppelganger from San Francisco, formerly Evil Twin Studios, unveiled an online nightclub for the global (teen) market. In "The Music Lounge" you can hang out, chat, dance, walk around, and listen to live DJ sets in a glamorous 3D environment. You can design your own avatars, customizing everything from their sneakers to their haircut. The avatars respond to user direction through a simple interface that allows you to do just about anything from "the robot" dance, to a simple smile, to thousands of other possibilities.

“Doppelganger's single purpose is to create a cool place for folks to hang out and chat online,” said Doppelganger CEO, Andrew Littlefield. “There's no cover charge, your friends are here, there's great music, and we never close.”

The Lounge seamlessly integrates with the AIM service so you can use your existing Buddy List feature and easily join your friends. The Lounge has all the features of real world club including dance floors, outdoor balconies, listening stations to check out the latest new releases, and DJ booths. The avatars can walk, chat, dance and even take a dip in the VIP hot tub with your friends to the music of Interscope Records' recording artists (such as The Pussycat Dolls). Not only are visitors to The Lounge able to choose their own physical characterizes, clothing options, and dance moves, they get to choose between hip-hop, preppy or an indie personality.
