Danny Tenaglia has announced he's now signed to Tommy Boy Records. The legendary New York based label (founded by Tom Silverman) is widely recognized for its significant contribution to the development of Hip Hop music, Dance music, and Electronica since 1981. Tenaglia agreed to have the label release a double CD ("Futurism") with new music as well as a brand new DJ mix compilation.
Tenaglia has remixed and produced over 200 songs over the years, including those which he worked on with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Grace Jones, Right Said Fred, Kim Mazelle, Bette Middler, Depeche Mode, Cher, Pet Shop Boys, and Blondie. His last single 'Dibiza (Bring The Drums Back)' was released on Stereo in 2006 while his last two compilations (Back to Basics and Back to Mine) are dated 2002 and 2003. It's about time new stuff from the man comes to our ears!
His new single - "The Space Dance" - is the first single to be released on Tommy Boy in May. Just in time for the Ibiza season as he will be playing every single Thursday at Club Space this year.
Tenaglia will soon also release the "Be Yourself 5 Year Box Set" that will commemorate his beloved 5 year residency at New York's Vinyl (later Arc). Arc closed in 2004 with a weekend long party featuring Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, the 112 Crew and Danny Tenaglia. The 3 disc set will feature the ultimate classics from his "Be Yourself Residency" as well as a disc that reflects the music he's playing today.
Danny recently won the Club World Award for Best DJ Set ("Vinyl Reunion at Pacha in NYC") at WMC in Miami so....
