VIB-RIBBON

Vib-Ribbon is a rhythm video game in the style of PaRappa the Rapper, and was released in 1999 for Sony's Playstation. The man behind Vib-Ribbon, NanaOn-Sha's Masaya Matsuura, recently stated in an interview that a PS3 remake of the game might be possible as he's in talks with Sony of making a downloadable version for Sony's Playstation Network.

For those who don't know Vib-Ribbon, it's one of the most original games on Sony's Playstation (think Locoroco style!). The object of this CD-based music game (the levels are based on the music you play!) is to guide a female rabbit along a ribbon filled with obstacles corresponding to the song being played!

Here's a short description from the makers:

"Here comes vibri, the coolest bunny on the block. A mean little mover, vibri loves to skip and jump to music as she meanders along the vib- ribbon. This line stretches into infinity but it's no straight and easy road. Your floppy-eared friend will come across lots of obstacles. As the music tempo shifts, so does the rate at which the obstacles appear and vibri the rabbit may soon devolve into vibri the frog. Can your bunny bounce to the beat and become a beautiful winged princess? Load up your soundtrack and watch vibri go!"
