MICROSOFT UNVEILS 'XBOX MUSIC'

Microsoft unveiled a sneak peek of Xbox Music, an all-new music service coming to Xbox 360, Windows Phone and Windows 8-based devices. But there's more cool 360 stuff!



 

Microsoft held a E3 2012 press conference on Monday and showed their renewed vision on the Xbox gaming and entertainment platform, now worldwide the top selling console in the market beating out other popular consoles such as Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PS3.

Just two years after the launch of Kinect for Xbox 360, Microsoft unveiled the next step in its journey to make Xbox synonymous with entertainment by unveiling Xbox SmartGlass, Internet Explorer for Xbox, and new TV, movie and music offerings.


SmartGlass
Xbox SmartGlass is a new application for Windows 8, Windows Phone, and other portable devices that connects phones, PCs and tablets with a Xbox 360 console to make entertainment smarter, more interactive and more fun. This and the new Internet Explorer will make you surf the web using your voice on the Xbox 360 and navigate using mobile devices for an easy web browsing experience on your TV!

As tou can see the Xbox system has become a lot more than just a gaming console. It's an entertainment system that is now even described as a true "cable box killer" featuring media apps offering a lot of cool content such as sports, TV, movies and music.

Xbox Music
New has been the sneak peek of a music service called 'Xbox Music'. The service will soon launch on Xbox and contains a library of over 30 million music tracks. It will be available on your Xbox (of course), PC and Windows phones & tablets. This looks and sounds very promising. Check this and other screenhots about the new service on The Verge.
