What was the main source of inspiration for your new album "The Sun Will Come"?
"Inspiration? Well sometimes that can be a sporadic delight, luckily there is always good old confrontation and argument to step in if inspiration temporarily disappears. Keith and I work well together because we have sometimes quite opposite ideas as to the direction of a particular track and that spark of confrontation can quite often be the very thing that enables the song you're working on to become something out of the ordinary and lift it to a higher more interesting level. I’m always right though."
How do you guys work together in the studio? You just go with the flow, or?
"Well as I kinda just answered that you can see there’s never a lot of just going with the flow, well maybe we’ll flow along for a while then hit the rapids and that is where the best stuff comes from."
What is your favorite computer gear?
"Mac computers are the best thing in the universe for me, creative, instinctive, beautiful and functional. I have always worked with them. 30 years, man and boy! I think I’d like to be buried with one when I die…"
How - and why - did you land on the "Just Music" label?
"It was through a friend of ours who is a director - he’s directing the Christmas Dr. Who at the moment.
