Adam K & Soha Interview

ADAM K INTERVIEW

With serious stage communication between Soha and myself we're sure to make this an interactive experience for anyone who joins along with us.

Over the years, your collaboration with Soha seems to have given you guys a massive creative boost. Right now, the two of you are in the process of remixing two Elvis tracks and you're working on an album. How did you guys get invloved with remixing Elvis?

"The Elvis remix sort of fell out of the sky. I ran into a very cool individual named Andrew Salsano who works with Hosh G - one of the Dance A&R's from Sony Music. They were very keen on having Soha and I do an Elvis remix that wasn't really directed towards the dance genre. It's more of a revision of the original version of the song with new drums, new bass lines, some added pianos and just an overall refreshed vibe."

You are totally absorbed by how technology opens up new ways to create music, while Soha masters music from a classical approach. That's some kind of duo! Music is communication, how do you guys manage to speak the same language? You don't make music while under influence, do you?

"Hahah. We've been asked that a lot. Well, Soha and I both come from heavy musical backgrounds in Jazz, Rock, Electronic & RnB. We've been working together for 15 years on such a wide variety of projects and so over time the lines of communication get so clear it's almost as if we read each other's minds in the studio. We've collaborated on projects for Film, Television, Radio Commercials, Band Productions, and even made Karaoke music together for years. Soha just Loves to sing Phil Collins."
