What about C, X, R and M? Who are behind the other letters, and who is the drummer at the back of the stage during your live gigs?

"C is Charlotte Hatherley ex Ash, X is Scott Fairbrother from Whitey! who originally played Guitar with us, Client R is Ruth Owen who plays the bass. The drummer is Robert Gorl from DAF - one of our all-time idols! - who plays electronic drums sometimes and M is Client Mush - a half Chinese great bass player."

Obviously, anonymity played an important role in calling yourselves A and B, and not showing faces on pictures when the two of you founded Client. Why is that? Does the name Client refer to the overconsumption in todays society?

"Anybody is a client, or serves a client! You can work in a bank or as a prostitute and have a client. We love the double entendre of the name. And yes, it is a reaction to the overconsumption of todays society. We want to be anonymous not flaunt ourselves. So people can make their own judgement of the music."
