They got back to me to hear a playback and get some information and music I am doing. Because they liked what they got from me we decided to work together and I sent them a playback for an Eyerer & Chopstick track. After a while they asked me to remix their next single 'Drive'. I did that together with Namito. Client will do a feature on one of our next singles for that. Of course its very nice working with artists you respect.
"Basically there's nothing I regret from my past. Everything I did brought me closer to what I am now and what I am capable doing now. Maybe there are things that weren't really necessary doing but really regretting is the wrong word. A lot of DJs I know try to hide what they did back in the days but for me it counts what people are doing now and if it's quality or not."
It is said techno is one of the more puristic versions of dance music. Yet, since minimal became so popular many cross overs with more traditional music (like techno and dub, techno elektro) emerged. Do you think techno will eventually merge with pop-music?
"I think really merge is not possible because the feeling of techno is different to pop music. If you merge it, its not techno any more. But techno or better say electronic music always influenced pop music and this is what happens always. You can find elements of techno in dance or pop music the same was as elements of other genres like house or trance."
