About a year ago you changed your artist name from 100% Isis to just Isis. In a recent interview you said about this, "If I would ever create a piece of music to be really proud of, I would put Isis van der Wel under it." Is your DJ identity bothering you? Are the best things yet to come?

"I am foremost a deejay, then a composer and production wise I’m not as far as I would like to be. As soon as I am capable of producing completely individually I will be able to make music that’s a hundred percent me. Then I will be proud to use my name in full."

For your first release as a producer you collaborated with multi discipline artist Piet Jan Blauw, who makes his own controllers and instruments to create sound. What hard- and software was used for recording and arranging the track, and who performed this task?

"We’ve used several pieces of hardware Piet Jan has designed. Logic is the software we use, but our live sets are done with Ableton. Piet Jan is mainly in charge of the production but during live sets we both play our part. He does the assigning of modules, I do the mix and we both play the instruments on top."
