Brighton beach with Fatboyslim and 250,000 other people was pretty amazing.
The music industry has changed big time. How do you get the right producers and remixers for the label today?
"For me it's hearing a track and being blown away when you hear it for the first time. Nowadays, there are so many new and exciting producers out there that keep raising the standards to higher levels. Great for the scene!"
Bedrock 10 is called "Past, Present and Future". Your contribution to dance music has lead you to Superstar status today. What direction you think electronic music will take and what do you wish your role to play in this?
"I hate the word 'Superstar'. If you see how I perform or act day to day, that title could not be further from the truth! I am in this because I love music and the buzz I get from playing to a crowd.
"I think electronic music is heading for great quality control with people wanting to hear more exciting new music."
Do you have any tips for aspiring remixers?
"The remixer has to really like the track and not just do it to take a pay check. You can always tell when it sounds like somebody has put there heart and soul into a remix."
Putting in practice such advice shouldn't be too difficult. Don't we all put our hearts in every remix we make? Looking forward to many more of those remixes to come in the next 10 years of Bedrock.
