As part of the show you invite upcoming producers not to be shy and hand over demos on CDs or USBs. Do you have any preferences in terms of style?
"I just like originality and music with balls! Melody is important - however minimal and keep it sexy! I'm intrigued to see what gets handed to me. Canada has produced the first genuine new superstar (in a while) in the shape of Deadmau5, so the omens are good."
You've remixed U2, Kings of Leon and Madonna this year. Do you have any tips for aspiring remixers how to approach a remix job?
"Well for starters you don't always have to wait to be asked. If you feel you have a great idea for a tune, have a go - the software and computing power available today is incredible. You just need the raw idea to start the process off. If you are asked to do one, I prefer remixes that still represent the act and the tune on some level - or what's the point? Remixing in general is a great way to get your name out there though."
You get tons of stuf for consideration for inclusion in your radio show. How do you decide if a track is exceptional and deserves to be broadcast?
"Personal taste first and foremost. General heat in the market place counts too. I listen to an awful lot of recommendations from my fellow DJs and producers. I'm always on the look out for originality. If I feel someone is pushing the boundaries and pulling the scene in a new direction I'll always be listening."
Without doubt, over the years you must have experienced something completely weird, utterly astonishing, amazingly funny or mindblowing scary. We won't believe you when you say your live is always dull.
