"I am an disgruntled idler and really not ambitious," 835 said about himself when we featured him as one of the best remixers in a previous remix contest on Laptoprockers.
Picked by Empire State Human for inclusion on the remix EP forthcoming from that contest, the band said, "The vocal production is the best of all the mixes to our ears, so full credit to 835 and the reworking of the melody and the added 'new' chorus (made from our bridge) is brilliant and gifted. It could be an MTV hit in itself. Super duper!"
At the time 835 enjoyed himself with making rock and punk music, and said to create remixes to entertain others. His remix entries in other contests were quite successful too. He won Sirah's remix contest because "He truly flipped the vocals", and was second in a contest run by The Hushpuppies. The Dø said his remix was "On kiff!", and his rework of "Ce Jeu" made Yelle cry.
The past few months 835 has been busy finalizing his 7-track debut EP dubbed "I'm a genius" which is now available from all major download stores. "It's a self release and i'm not looking for a label," the man behind 835 (Sebastian) told us, "so the label name will be 835!"
