CASABLANCA REWORKS CONTEST

Burn studios and Munich (Germany) based Gomma Records are launching a remix competition, giving you the chance to make it onto an upcoming EP alongside Peaches, Moullinex, Telonius and the Phenomenal Handclap Band later this year.

Launched earlier this month, “Casablanca Reworks” is a four track EP of iconic tracks from the Casablanca Records back-catalogue including Michael Sembello’s “Maniac,” Donna Summer’s “Our Love,” and “Walk The Night“ by Skatt Bros. Reworked with an edge for a new generation, the EP features electronic idol Peaches on vocals and a cameo by the legendary Harold Faltermeyer adding his flare to production. The Three tracks mentioned above are now up for remixing. Contestants will need to master Burn Studios’ Audiotool to craft their own interpretation and upload it to the applause of the community.

Three Remix contestants will make the grade and win a deserved place on the Remix EP alongside Peaches, Moullinex, Telonius and the Phenomenal Handclap Band come release on Friday, 27th April.

Producing “Casablanca Reworks” was an affair of the heart for Telonius from Gomma who grew up on these seminal classics. "The Burn Studios Remix competition gives anybody with a passion and creativity for mastering great music an incredible platform to get their names out there, showcase their talent to the world and catch that all-important break. The competition is going to be fierce but we can’t wait to check out the new mixes.”

UPDATE: Competition closes on midnight, 2nd March 2012. There's only one track available for remixing in stead of three originally planned. Consequenly only one remix wil land on the EP.
