If you win the next remix fight don't expect Hollywood producers to call you to collaborate with the next Britney Spears. No prizes to win. This one is for fun!
Remix Fight! is a remixing community open to everyone. They get people to send them source files of songs and then make that source available for download. People download that source, make a remix, and then submit their remix. Then, Remix Fight posts all the mp3s and set up a poll so that visitors to the site can listen to the mixes and vote on which one they like the best. After a couple weeks, the poll is closed and a winner announced.
No money changes hands, no fancy gifts are mailed out, Hollywood producers probably won’t be calling you to collaborate with the next Britney Spears.
Fight #0062 features an acapella by Colin Mutchler. His album, "Premixed" was built over time by producers who had never met, piecing together elements Colin posted at CCmixter. Mutchler's lyrics span from personal to political and have been used by producers in genres as diverse as Dub and trip hop to folk rock.
