Martyn Ware, founding member of legendary synth-pop bands Heaven 17 and The Human League, is to judge a competition giving unsigned musicians in the East Midlands (UK) the chance to have their music published.
Cpulse, a new project to support digital creativity in the region, is staging this competition and will distribute CDs of the winner's music across the East Midlands and as a digital download on its website. To support the project 'De Montfort University' (DMU) which champions in innovation and creative technologies, is holding a showcase event open to the public at Phoenix Square Digital Film & Media Centre on 27 August, and will launch a student record label to be called 'Future Innovation.'
