Damndogs Remix Contest Winners

DAMNDOGS REMIX CONTEST WINNERS

It took a while for them to make up their minds, but DAMNDOGS picked the best remixes for each of the 5 tracks - and commented personally on each one of them.

Thanks to so many good entries, our DAMNDOGS remix contest was a tough one to judge. But we have winners! Here's what the band says about their favorite mixes.

Love - Galan's Dub Electronica Mix
"The Intro rules; sounds intense, dark and tough. This version really transformed the song. Interesting drum pattern and a really unique take on the tune. Well done."

VFC - Slasher Remix
"This is a dreamy version, quite reflective and lonely. We enjoyed the mash up of the guitar parts. The remix builds naturally and doesn't stick to the original structure. Nice!"

Wonder Why - Bone Zone
"After a minute of building, the tune simply explodes. We can't play it loud enough. It moves and shakes; you want to dance - but smack the guy next to you in the face at the same time! It is super aggressive and quite abrasive. Bridge was cool too."

Low - Giant Shadow
"All about the feel, rolls along with an interesting piano line that is real catchy. It also has a good combination of electronic and sounds from the track. Great work."

Cocaine - Lawaxes
"We loved that it's in no hurry. Captures the spirit of the song. Percussion is cool, and we liked the way the noise and swoops have been edited and looped. Drums and distorted vocals are jarring, but perhaps they should be. Cocaine! Want it to keep going and going."

Highlights from the band are posted as timed comments in the respective tracks next page.

"We'll get the ball rolling with these guys."
