ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE BRAINDEAD

Entertainment for the Braindead's EP “Hydrophobia” is full of heart and soul and was created recording track by track with a simple USB-microphone. Remix it.

Far away from the massive and unresting sounds of electric guitars and pounding noises of drums, Singer/Songwriter Julia Kotowski creates a small, intimate and especially silent musical sphere that she fills with notes, lyrics und rhythm. She lets these outcomes ripen slowly. Then, sound tracks are being arranged and ranked in longsome nights and home appliances will be misused for special elements. There is a lot of tinkering and pottering, but little sleep. All this takes place at home, in her bedroom, in front of her computer.

Working under the name "Entertainment for the Braindead" - Julia's EP “Hydrophobia” is full of heart and soul and was created recording track by track with a simple USB-microphone. Behind closed doors - with an open heart and mind - these colourful sounds and melodies of “Hydrophobia” emerged.

“Hydrophobia” was released by "Aaahh-records", a German netlabel focusing on "recorded" music rather than "electronic" music. Think singer/songwriter genre and anything related to indie and folk. Using CC licences, all the songs available from their site are not only free in price. They carry the freedom to share, to remix and, of course, to listen to wherever, whenever and however you like.

Aaahh-records are now calling for a remix contest for five “Hydrophobia” tracks.

Update: The contest probably isn't running anymore - but the remix files are still available.
