HUMAN LIFE MIX COMPETITION

Californian based Human Life are made up of veteran house music producers Joshua Collins (100+ vinyl releases) and Matt Wasley (producer for the likes of Bedrock and Nettwerk) and vocalist Rachael Starr (releases on high profile labels such as Ultra, Azuli, BMI). The trio is responsible for catchy, potent electro with pop vocals and strong song writing. Citing influences including classic French and Chicago house and pop music as diverse as Genesis, Toto, Prince, Depeche Mode and the Happy Mondays, Matt describes their style as French touch influenced Electro-Pop. “But some of the other labels people have used are Dreamwave, Nu-Disco or Indie-Dance. Really it’s all about combining melodic music with dance oriented elements.”

In celebration of the release of Human Life’s single ‘In It Together’ out now on Lifex Recordings - download site Mixed Up Music and podcast station Mixcloud have fashioned up a mix competition. Download the 'In It Together' a cappella from Mixed Up Music and feature it in a 30-minute DJ mix, of any genre, up on the Mixcloud competition page. The original track has been remixed by Kris Menace, A Trak, Polygon palace and Acid Girls - and now it's your turn to squeeze the knobs.
