Jillian Speer, singer, songwriter, musician, achieved exposure and a following after the release of her debut album, "Silent Teaching" in 2001. Her music genre is best described as soul/folk/rock/ acoustic/soft rock/adult alternative. Jillian Speer has a deep interest and passion in making music and she also holds a true concern for humanity and the environment.

Her music has often been on Party of Five, a television series, and two of her songs are currently in a feature film being played on Showtime & HBO called, "Purpose." In 2005, an exclusive entertainment segment about Ms. Speer was featured on Oprah's cable channel, "Oxygen." In 2007, Ms. Speer composed her first score for an HBO documentary on foster children.

A contest where people get the chance to remix her music was announced at the Amsterdam Dance Event earlier this week. Record Producers, DJ's and remix artists who submit a winning entry for her new single "Hail" will win a grand prize of $5000 US. You can remix the song into your chosen style. All genres are welcome. The winning remix will also be part of the commercial maxi-single released through Vertigram Entertainment.
