LINKIN PARK REMIX CONTEST

Following their previous remix contest, Linkin Park announced a new remix contest with MySpace called "Linkin Park, Featuring You" which gives you the unique chance to be on their new album, 'A Thousand Suns'.

You can download the audio stems from 'The Catalyst,' the first single from the band's new album, from their MySpace page to produce your own song/remix.

Submitted remixes will be shared in an embeddable player so everyone can rate and comment. A winner will be chosen by Linkin Park, and the lucky musician's submission will either be included on the band’s new album or the winner will be invited to perform with the band on a song on the upcoming record. Great!

"We may choose a remix of the song, and put it on the album or, we may choose an amazing keyboardist, string quartet, guitarist, percussion group, or other musician, and invite them into the studio to play on one of our songs. No matter what instrument you play, you can win. We're open to anything good. All we ask is that you include any audible portion of any one of our stems in your submission."

A Thousand Suns, recorded by Rick Rubin (U2, Johnny Cash) and the band's lead singer Mike Shinoda, will hit shelves on September 14, 2010. 'The Catalyst' will be released on August 2nd.
