Mauro Picotto (1966) is an Italian DJ producer, and remixer from Turin. He has collaborated with many popular musicians such as DJ Tiësto, Freddie Mercury, Jimmy Somerville, the Pet Shop Boys and U2. He became popular with trance tracks like “Proximus”, “Komodo”, “Iguana”, “Pulsar” and “Lizard,” but his style has shifted more towards techno the past few years.
After spending many years producing under the flag of Media Records International, Mauro Picotto decided in 2003 to concentrate on his DJ career. He now promotes his own club night in places such as London, Miami, Turin, Glasgow, New York, Montreal and of course Ibiza.
To kickoff a series of 'Come Together' contests with big name DJ's - FOEM launched a Mauro Picotto remix competition. Music producers can remix his brand new track 'Arrival' and win a release on Alchemy Records London as well as Premium Accounts on Soundcloud. Come Together is a brand new club night at Space Ibiza and the Ibiza remix contest series of the year! Come Together is a platform for showing off your own remix style.
So go get the remix samples via the FOEM forum, break with all traditional genre divisions and have fun! Keep in mind that Come Together is a crossover music mash that embraces change in a postmodern music scene.
Deadline is September 5th.
