REMIX ‘MEANEST MAN CONTEST’

Gold Robot Records is an indie record label operating out of the East Bay in California.

"Our focus is 7-inch vinyl releases that incorporate art into the whole process of making an archival object which showcases the talents of the musicians, artists, designers, and printmakers involved in the project. We do not have a program that dictates the style of music considered for release. Our only requirement is that it inspires space travel."

Gold Robot Records doesn't "sign" artists in the traditional sense. They simply want to to release sounds made by brilliant people in the hopes it leads to bigger and better things for these artists. Amongst them is a duo called 'Meanest Man Contest'.

Gold Robot wants you to remix 'They Do' - an acapella featured on the B-side of their recent 'Meanest Man Contest' release. The winner will get their remix included on a forthcoming release!

'They Do' is offered under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license. This means that you are free to use it, share it, sample from it, remix it or whatever- as long as you only do so for noncommercial purposes, and as long as you properly attribute Meanest Man Contest and Gold Robot Records when you use or distribute it.
