LL Cool J announced last week the launch of his Michael Jackson Tribute Competition on his digital music and entertainment social networking venture, Boomdizzle.com. To recognize the legend, Boomdizzle will call on its community of artists to create tracks and videos in tribute to the King of Pop.
"After hearing the tragic news of Michael Jackson's death, the lyrics for the 'Billie Jean' remix came to me in a dream," said Boomdizzle founder, LL Cool J.
"Michael was one of my childhood idols and has always been a great inspiration to me. He made the whole world Moonwalk together and I know his legendary music will continue to inspire many generations to come."
The Michael Jackson Tribute Competition will give the Boomdizzle community the opportunity to create exciting new audio and video experiences inspired by Michael Jackson's work. Two winners will be chosen. One for best remix or original music or video track inspired by Michael Jackson, and best video for LL Cool J's "Billie Jean Dream: Written by Michael Jackson".
