‘Hello World’ Remix Contest

'HELLO WORLD' REMIX CONTEST

Thu, October 15, 2009
In FOEM's new contest you're invited to transform Monosurrounds' Hello World in a true science fiction club tune. No Minimal, Eurodance/-trance or Vocalhouse.

Monosurround are Erik Schaeffer and Ramtin Asadolahzadeh from Berlin, Germany. After they met in a club in Kreuzberg in 1999, they decided to make music together. They swore to “Never get stuck in a rut and always keep re-discovering music”.

Their sountracks for two German film productions paved the way for many releases on labels such as Kontor, Ministry of Sound, EMI, Universal, Electric Kingdom, Edel, Citizen and many more. There sound is hard to pin down to a specific genre, but spaced out Party Pop might be a fitting description.

The remix track is Hello World, and it's your job to create a true science fiction club tune. No Minimal, Eurodance/-trance or Vocalhouse. Focus on a deep groove, fantastic beats and getting weird.

At least one remix will be released on a digital and vinyl EP on Berlin based label MS Records. Deadline is December 31.
