MR. MEEBLE REMIX CONTEST

Mr. Meeble is glitchy electronica and sophisticated rock connected by bits of soul, funk, blues and hip-hop. Sensual and soulful pop meets dark electronica. Think romantic psychedelic down tempo stuff :)

Whatever they might sound like, this Phoenix (Arizona, US) based trio (Devin Fleenor, Michael Plaster and Blain) are making an effort getting their work noticed. These guys have been around for a while as solo artists and in various other bands and collaborations, but as Mr. Meeble they've started making waves seriously and released their first "official" album last year.

"Named after an accidental sound made from Styrofoam, Mr. Meeble has developed a hybrid style so unique that critics are having to dig deep into their creative well to describe it. Flying in the face of earthly convention, Mr. Meeble issues a warning to everyone who checks out their indie debut album: Never Trust The Chinese," they said at the time.

They now offer three tracks for you to remix up at their MySpace blog. The posting also contains info on Mr. Meeble contests at AcidPlanet and Peace Love Productions.

Prizes? The blog posting reads, "We will be releasing an enhanced version of Mr. Meeble's NTTC album to include YOUR remixes! Also, the winners will get to take a magical hot air balloon ride with Mr. Meeble across the Atlantic Ocean!! Although not quite as cool as the ride, whoever submits the most popular remix will win a new iPod touch."

Atlantic balloon ride? Not a Styrofoam balloon we hope! Whatever they say - the tracks are definitely worth remixing if you're a romantic in love with the dark side ;)
