NIN - The Slip

WHY THE NEW NIN ALBUM IS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FREE

As a 'thank you' to their fans for their continued support, Trent Reznor is giving away the new NIN album 'The Slip' for free.

Where other bands, including Radiohead, have released new material through download distribution by means of experiment, with NIN's latest release Trent Reznor made it clear he totally embraced the Internet as a major outlet for his music.

Less than three months after releasing "Ghosts" - of which 9 tracks are available for free download - he surprised even his biggest fans with releasing a new free download album called "The Slip" earlier this month.

On the Nine Inch Nails website Trent Reznor says, "As a thank you to our fans for your continued support, we are giving away the new Nine Inch Nails album one hundred percent free, exclusively via nin.com."

The music is available in a variety of formats including high-quality MP3, FLAC or M4A lossless at CD quality and even higher-than-CD quality 24/96 wav format. All downloads include a PDF with artwork and credits.

The Slip is released under a creative commons attribution non-commercial share alike license. Trent Reznor encourages you to remix it, share it with your friends, post it on your blog, play it on your podcast, give it to strangers :)

The slip multitrack files are now available from the NIN remix site - the number one place to upload your remixes. There's plenty of other NIN remix material available over there as well.
