Niyi Remix Contest

NIYI REMIX CONTEST

Just recently Adamski revamped in his collaboration with up and coming British rapper Niyi. Remix the track "Boom Bang Boy" on TracksAndFields.

Remember the hit single "Killer" by Adamski featuring Seal? Originally recorded as an instrumental track, it was the then unknown Seal who added lyrics & vocals with great success. "Killer" was Seal's breakthrough track and topped the British charts for several weeks. Few years later "Killer" was covered by George Michael and included on the "Five Live" EP he released with Queen & Lisa Stansfield. The EP (which also included Michael's legendary performance of "Somebody To Love," recorded live with Queen at the "Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert" in 1992 after the singer passed away a year before) was a number one hit in the UK.
After the success of "Killer," Adamski (real name Adam Tinley) continued making electronic music and released two more albums in addition to "LiveAnDirect" and "Dr. Adamski's Musical Pharmacy" which borth came out in 1990. His 1992 album "Naughty" contained a collaboration with Nina Hagen for the track "Get your body!" Adamski's fourth and last album "Adamski's Thing" dates back to 1998 and was released on ZTT Records, the label that got famous from releasing "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" and "The Art of Noise". Never getting close to the succes he got with "Killer" Adam Tinley dropped the Adamski name in 2000 and continued making music under the name Adam Sky.

Just recently Adam revamped as Adamski in his collaboration with up and coming British rapper Niyi. Last year Niyi released his debut single ‘Ur Mummy/808 Klap’. Despite being released on a bank holiday, it sold out within the week, and a European tour followed. TracksAndFields invite you to put your remix skills to the test on Niyi's "Boom Bang Boy" feat. Adamski. The winner will be digitally released on Niyi's label Holloway Hit Factory and additionally considered for a vinyl release. Deadline: 31.05.2010.
