Electronica act OrganicArma from Miami (USA) make electronic Minimalism for the intelligentsia, with all three members of the band serving multiple roles (composer, producer, arranger, and performer). On stage the band performs their music live on actual instruments creating a sound that can be described as Depeche Mode meets Prodigy in a Kraftwerk landscape.
Beyond the distinctive sounds, organicArma incorporates philosophical accents (from Nietzsche, Huxley, Hegel, and Russell), linguistics and psychology (influences include Jung, Fromm, and Hesse), and science.
"The name 'organicArma' is a reflection of our approach. The 'organic' is that which cannot be controlled. Our music itself is our ‘arma’ or our ability to plan, build, and create within the constructs of what is unknown to man."
They recently completed a month long U.S. tour with Fischerspooner. They released a digital EP entitled “Discordia” this past February, featuring remixes from King Unique and DJ Spooky. They’re also releasing another digital EP on June 30 called “Awarned,” featuring a remix from King Unique.
Yesterday they launched a remix contest, offering you the chance to remix “Discordia” for a chance to appear on an OrganicArma release.
