Remixin is a derivative works project that aims to explore the outcome of taking a small number of tracks and remixing them into a very large number of tracks. The key idea of this project is a never ending web of remixes. What you end up with is ongoing chain of related works.
The project is now in Round 3, featurering all the remixes from Round 2. The goal is to have each piece to be remixed multiple times. Round 3 ends April 18th. If you are interested but cannot do round 3, please consider signing up for round 4 which starts April 21th and ends May 12th.
All of the remixes will be available online for people to listen to as well as animated flash browsing of the tracks and their relationships for users to stream and download the music. It's a web 2.0 site that will be in alpha this summer.
