R&R World is a social networking site created to encourage the music community to come together - whether you are an artist, a music professional, a venue or music lover. The site wants to become a relevant, dynamic, music-focused on-line and mobile social community. Something MySpace seems to lack behind on ;)
To help promote the site and offer musicians remix opportunities, they've teamed up with Primeloops to bring a monthly remix contest.
"We are delighted to announce the first of our monthly R&R remix competitions in partnership with Prime Loops. If you are a musician, DJ, producer or remixer that likes to rework other people’s music then download the stems and create your own version. The best remixes, as voted by R&R Users will win a selection of Prime Loops software and will get extensively featured on R&R World."
The first contest features the track 'No Compromise' by Vice, a UK soul-funk-pop boys band. The maker of the best voted for remix wins 5 x Prime Loops sample packs - and the winning remix will be promoted and sold alongside the single when it is released.
All entries must be received by Sunday 21 of March.
