SHUNDA K REMIX COMPETITION

The first time we saw Yo Majesty was at Sonar in Barcelona in 2008 (review). We were blown away by their energetic performance and stage presence. After their show we walked to the stage to say hello to Shunda and to tell her how great their performance was!

Shunda K decided to leave the group to focus on a solo career that will see her release her first full length solo album this year! The album, "The Most Wanted," includes some fine collaborations with Peaches, Fred Schneider (of B-52s fame), Flore, Cindy Wonderful (Scream Club), Shon B and many more.

To celebrate the release, her label Fanatic Records is running a remix competition for her second single 'I am Da Best'. The winning remix of this contest will feature as a bonus on the single (which is said to feature remixes from some of Australia's best up and coming producers as well).

As Yo Majesty, Shunda K also has collaborated with Basement Jaxx, including the new Basement Jaxx hit "Twerk" and the Yo Majesty hit "Booty Klap." Earlier this year, electroclash superstar Peaches has lent Shunda K's powerful voice for her track "Billionaire," released last January. Watch the Billionaire video.

Shunda K's first single "Here I Am To Save The World" featuring Cindy Wonderful of Scream Club will be released on July 27th, 2010.
