Rock band 'Some Velvet Morning' have teamed up with Indaba Music in New York to host a remix competition for their new single, 'How To Start A Revolution,' out on 24th May.
Some Velvet Morning like to do things differently. Recording live to tape, rather than computer in their large north London studio, the Fish Factory, the band have built momentum over the last three years with a series of radio friendly tracks such as Losing My Mind, Propaganda and Resistance.
Their 2009 roof top publicity stunt nearly got them arrested: With a nod to the Beatles, the band shunned council authorities by performing live on the roof of the PRS For Music in London on January 30th 2009, blasting their cries of the revolution across six blocks around Soho.
The remix track, "How to Start A Revolution," was recently featured in the official movie trailer for the film Kick Ass.
The winner will have their remix featured on an official release by the band, a signed copy of the single and a year long platinum membership to Indaba Music. Deadline is June 8th.
