START-AB REMIX EVENT 2006

Sandi Thom is a phenomenon. She has become a star who won a global audience and a megabucks handshake thanks to her investment in a webcam. Her story starts on the internet. After failing a planned world tour she started a virtual webcast tour from the basement of her house. She spreaded the news over her MySpace account and in no time 70.000 people from all over the world watched her "21 nights from tooting" tour. A fortnight after finishing her virtual tour Sandi signed a recording contract with Sony Music executive Craig Logan, live in front of her webcam audience. Her first single *I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker* went straight on top of the uk single charts.

German remix community Start-AB and Sony BMG offer the opportunity to remix a Sandi Thom track. You only have 48 hours to do it!

The following VIP's already accepted the challenge: Chris Liebing, Mijk van Dijk, Kaiser Souzai and Marc O’ Tool vs Criss Source. They will – as well as all competitors – have to remix the track provided by SANDI THOM within 48 hours time. The VIP-Contest is a side-competition, the remixes will not be judged by the jury.
