VICIOUS CYCLE REMIX CONTEST

After being named one of “Quick’s Dallas/ Fort Worth Magazine’s” Top 10 Local Acts for 2010, and doing multiple collabs with extraordinarily producers overseas, the Texas-based female MC group "Vicious Cycle" thought it a good idea to have some tracks remixed from their critically acclaimed debut album “The Vagina Chronologue“.

For that purpose they've set off 2011 with a bang and launched a a remix contest. The winning remixes will be featured on an upcoming New EP & Mixtape that will have their debut at South By Southwest Music Conference (Austin,TX), in March 2011.

Vicious Cycle have set the bar high for this contest!

"Remember way back in the day when remix meant that it was better than the original? Well, that’s what we’re looking for. If you can't make an already bangin’ song sound better, then this contest is not for you. If you respect our work, and have dabbled with the idea of doing a collab with us, here is the perfect way to make that happen.

"Contestants are only allowed to remove hooks, intros, and outros. These spaces can be replaced with scratches, singers, or other emcees. But please keep in mind that if the beat is dope, and the feature is mediocre, it could wind up bitting you in the ass. Be very careful with who you chose to feature on the track - our expectation level is very high in that area."

The contest ends promptly at 11:59 PM March 1, 2011.
