Are you ready to rumble? It's time to remix a pounding Rock track! We're proud to give a track by one of America's hottest new bands: Dead Confederate!

"As much as we have a love for electronic music and good remixes, we aren't exactly skilled at it. This is where you come in... We want to hear your best remix of The Rat. Take as much or as little liberty with it as you want. No style is off limits. Be bold and make it your own."

Led by pounding drums and a spooky guitar riff, the vocal track gets increasingly desperate and pained. A remix challenge!

Originally starting out as high school band, things got serious when the band members were faced with the prospect of finding careers outside of music.
Dead Confederate was born, spreading a new breed of dark, raw, mind-blowing psych-rock from their Athens based headquarters (USA).
The Rat is the first single off their 2008 debut album "Wrecking Ball," a collection of tightly coiled spacey rock tracks with slow aching verses, gut-blasting choruses and Southern-rock tinged guitar jams.

"When they hit full howl, Dead Confederate are the living end," - Rolling Stone.

The core of your writing whlsit sounding agreeable originally, did not really settle properly with me after some time. Someplace within the sentences you actually managed to make me a believer but just for a short while. I however have a problem with your jumps in assumptions and one might do nicely to fill in those gaps. If you actually can accomplish that, I will undoubtedly end up being impressed.…
