10 Years Centrance

10 YEARS CENTRANCE

To celebrate their 10th anniversary the audio tech company is planning a range of exciting announcements throughout the year.

US based manufacturer of portable USB audio products and audio drivers - Centrance, is celebrating its 10th year in business. Started in 2000, Centrance initially focused on design services offered to other audio manufacturers. They began selling Windows audio drivers in 2006 and a year later Centrance became a hardware manufacturer. The company's free 'Latency Test Utility' software is used to evaluate audio equipment worldwide. "I've used the Centrance Latency Test Utility in all my audio interface tests for years," says Martin Walker of UK's Sound on Sound mag.

Running through Spring they are offering a special anniversary sale on their newly introduced audiophile driverless USB soundcard - the DACport, that comes with a Class A headphone amp. "To celebrate our 10th anniversary the company is planning a range of exciting announcements, which we will share throughout the year," explains Michael Goodman, managing director of Centrance. Another of their products, the MicPort Pro, which features a studio-quality mic-preamp, became a must-have in the Voice-Over and Broadcast communities worldwide. Harry Shearer, a leading radio personality calls it "remarkable." Centrance's USB instrument preamp, the AxePort Pro, became a go-to piece with session guitar and bass players. Will Lee from the David Letterman Show and Derrick Murdock from the Jay Leno Show rely on their AxePort Pros. They join Eric Clapton's bass player Nathan East, Chic Corea's sax man Eric Marienthal and Richard Fortus from Guns 'N Roses.

You can stack up several USB audio interfaces with the free Centrance Universal USB audio driver for Windows. Compatible with all Centrance audio products, it offers such benefits as low latency (2.5ms), device aggregation, high stability and addiitonal controls. While not required for operation, the driver aggregates multiple audio interfaces, letting you use more than one MicPort Pro and AxePort Pro and making more audio channels available for recording and playback.

Congratulations Centrance! Your interfaces indeed are extremely portable, which is great for laptoprockers who love traveling light. We're awaiting more great offers during your anniversary year :)
