FourTracks is a multi track recorder for the android platform, similar in nature to Cubase and other recording sofware.
Like its name indicates, FourTracks features 4 recordable audio tracks with mute button and volume knob each. Record yourself playing and singing and mix down to wav. You can also import pre recorded wav tracks into the mix. FourTracks also allows sharing your tracks with friends.
The UI is rather simple and clean: pinch to zoom, auto scrolling during playback. An easy to use metronome is also available (in paid version)
There are two version: free and paid. The free one is limited to 11025Hz sample rate and the paid version lets you record in CD quality (up to 44100Hz).
Upcoming releases are planned to include copy/paste, looping, latency compensation and importing MP3 and other common formats. Later down the line, the developer is planning on adding midi support, a simple drum machine and chord generator.
Currently, FourTracks has been downloaded about 20K times from mainly US, Europe, Japan and Australia.
