DarkWave Studio is an Australian made free modular virtual studio and VST host for the creation of electronic music. With DarkWave Studio you can use the included audio machines and third party VST effects and instruments to create music. DarkWave Studio allows the connection of machines in an ad-hoc cabling fashion. It comes with both native versions for 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows, although you may use the 32-bit version on all editions of Windows for backwards compatibility with 32-bit VST plug-ins.
DarkWave offers a Studio environment allowing you to setup and work with the machines. Patch them up any way you like and use the Pattern editor to create whatever crazyness you have in mind. Arrange your work into a more song based structure in the Sequencer window. On top of that there's a Multitrack recorder as well.
Darkwave comes with various native instrument machine plugins (patchable machines): A Bassynth, Drum machine and a Rave Kick generator. A Reverb unit and AntiAlias effect are included as well. You'll also find a MIDI input letting you use external MIDI stuff such as keyboards.
Version 1.5 has just been released. It's a free download. Go crazy!
