Armed with the passion to bring to life a virtual 303, Pulse Code, Inc. created the ultimate acid machine for you. Here's the story behind the Digital Bass Line DB-303 app for the iPhone:
"We used our very own vintage 303 as reference, running the machine through a battery of feature specific tests to better understand and emulate in our application. What we discovered is that the 303 is not just another subtractive monosynth as some may claim and we believe that our emulation captures its true expressive essence. Our emulation has nuances that only owners of a real 303 know such as what happens when all of the pattern steps are slides or how each parameter truly reacts to the tempo."
The Digital Bass Line app also gives you two versatile effects stomp boxes to bring more life to your bass lines! Check the manual for more info about the features.
If you like acid house and feel the need for new emulation software that claims to have all of the characteristics of the original Roland machine than this app might be something for you. Other apps you could check are TechnoBox and Rebirth.
Besides DB-303 (which you can try out for free until August 8), Pulse Code, Inc. has also launched come other interesting apps including Android FX, BtBx, Polywave, and VoiceTransformer. Check the link below for more info.
